The Widowmaker is nothing short of a walking battle tank and it's certainly bigger than one. It is easily one of the most damaging units seen
in the Chimeran army and thankfully, they
only really appear near the end of the game.
Their two main forms of attack comes from their spikey legs and what it spits out of its mouth. A second is a substance which isn't too
dissimilar to that used by the XR-003 Sapper.
It explodes when in a close proximity and can cause vast amounts of damage. It should also be noted that when a Widowmaker dies, it sprays this
substance everywhere as a last-ditch attack. They can also vastly increase the morale of nearby
Chimeran infanty and can easily turn the tide in
a battle.
The first encounter with a Widowmaker happens while in a
M-12 Sabertooth, but they will later be encountered while on foot. Because of this, the
L209 LAARK is our recommended weapon of choice,
since it can take one down in a single shot. Otherwise they require a lot of firepower (aimed at it's body).
