 Auger
The Auger has been considerable changed for Resistance 2 and it looks like it will pose a more considerable threat this time around. Its rate of fire has been increased and it now has a new ability which will drammatically increase its effectiveness. When aiming, it now has the ability to see through walls (see screenshot on the right-hand side). 
The Auger looks like it will have a much greater clip size this time around, which is probably due to the increased rate of fire. Perhaps Insomniac want to make this weapon more appealing than in Resistance: Fall of Man? The Auger Shield also return and grenades can still be thrown through them.
