The Sony PlayStation Day has started right now, and Insomniac Games has shown the reporters new Resistance 2 footage. The opening video reel was closed with the clip of Nathan Hale seeing the Bay Bridge and Chimeran Invasion fleet.
16:47: Reeves is delighted in the way the community has embraced Resistance. 1.4 million playing online with a passionate community online. Ted Price has confirmed MyResistance.net will be receiving a full upgrade.
16:50: Reporters are being shown work-in-progress content from Resistance 2 multiplayer. Mobile bubble shields are shown on soldiers in multiplayer, as well as static flat shields. You WILL be able to play as the Chimera, although they're not shown in the video. The game will be going from 40 players to 60 players online.
16:52: 60 player online won't be a massive 60 player war, it'll be split up into 4 mini-battles, with squads and rival squads, and squad objectives.
