GameDaily BIZ: Insomniac Games has revealed to the world that they will be seeking out a location in North Carolina to open a sister studio, with plans to cut the ribbons and open shop by January 2009. The new studio will fall under the Insomniac Games name as well, perhaps with an NC moniker, and will average a crew of about 30 to begin with. Current Insomniac Games director of art, Chad Dezern, will be taking up studio director of the new offices.
Insomniac Games CEO, Ted Price, is confident that the new studio will have no problem producing PS3 games despite the smaller size of the planned development team there. As for why Insomniac has targeted the state of North Carolina as the location for their newest den, they cited it's abundance of universities and "great quality of life and great cost of living".
